Have you seen how McDonald’s menu changes according to the country they’re in? That is because every place has its own unique identity and every brand caters to the locale and its tastes.
In the same way, travel gives you a new outlook on how everything seems to be different from the taste of coffee to the way the sun warms you up! You get to learn to see the world not just in rose-tinted glasses but enjoy a fresh perspective on life.
The same things feel different
In Italy, people crave the sunlight while the people of Rajasthan yearn for the rains. Each place you learn to appreciate the simple things that you think are silly which are luxuries to some.
I’ve not traveled far and wide but with each trip I take, I’ve made it a point to notice how things are so similar yet very different. As I get back home, I’m just thankful for my simple life that comes with so many luxuries we take for granted from the water we drink to the lovely weather.
Learn to Live in Hygge
If you’ve heard of Hygge I’m sure you know where I’m going. But to those who don’t:
Hygge
/ˈh(j)uːɡə,ˈhʊɡə/
noun
In Danish, this means to live in contentment.
So, as you travel more you learn to adjust to what you have and still be happy. Travelers usually end up not worrying about packing every single thing, planning for every night. They go where the spirit moves them. But at the end of the day, it is the satisfaction of learning something new and appreciating its beauty that keeps them going.
