I like joyriding! There I said it. Sometimes just to clear my head I get on my bike and roam around the city soaking in everything. So, obviously, the whole journey to and fro a destination is nirvana for me.
Fly in the clouds
I love flights and I’m not talking about the airport lounges or the exciting (not-so-exciting) flight meals. But the actual ride! Where you soar above the clouds, make your way through the sky and find the land a tiny expanse. The experience thrills me to the core—yes, even me a mild acrophobic. (Read Day 7 for the backstory.)
I may not be able to take a rocket ride up to the moon. (I am trying hard to not put in negative affirmations.) But this little time in the air makes me feel alive. I love watching the cotton puffs of clouds and the stars during the night and even the little light trails on the ground below. It all seems fairytale magical!
Road trips for the win!
We all know how much we love road trips. Whether it is stopping at some random spot to click a good picture or the non-stop radio karaoke in the car. The air rushing to meet you, the feel of freedom, and a sense of finding your own destination (I am a bit of a dreamer.)
Road trips are great for bonding, for feeling a relaxed sensation and why you need to simply take a break and move around aimlessly or with a destination in mind.
Train rides
Is it me or does anyone else notice the scenic routes around train paths? It is like it was laid in such a way that you can’t help but not miss such beauty. Or maybe it is just my luck that all my train rides—for most of the part—route towards nature at its best.
If you’ve noticed that I haven’t taken bus rides into account, I do not like bus rides. I feel it would be a shame to not be true to myself in this blog. So, if you like them good for you, pal!
All in all, it is a great journey on your way to a vacation or a destination. Some dread the journey but it is all part of your perspectives.
