Clarks Exotica-Convention Resort & Spa Review

When you want a luxe staycation in Bangalore, a resort is the perfect premise for all—couples, family, bachelors. So, for the bachelorette of a dear friend, we decided to treat her to a elite retreat within the city. Many resorts popped up, but something that fit within our budget was Clarks Exotica, Bangalore.

It was the perfect mix of long drive, spa, pool & leisure activities. Situated at Devanahalli road, near the airport, Clarks Exotica Convention Resort & Spa is a huge resort. As soon as we entered the premise we loved how spacious and amazing it was. Unlike some resorts in Bangalore, the acreage was not a miss on this one.

We opted for a deluxe room which is the beginner level room for this resort. The room was spacious with a king-sized bed, study & well-equipped bathroom. The room views leave a lot to be wanting but when you want to relax and have a gala time that’s something we were willing to sacrifice.

Dental kits, hair dryers and other toiletries were in the room when we checked in. After a quick check-in, we decided to have a cup of coffee. The hotel seems to be the hub-bub for all corporate events and weddings. So guests who check-in on a casual trip seem to be ignored. That is another thing that irked us. But, as we were bent on having fun, this didn’t put a hitch in our mood.

Restaurant, Bar & Cafe at Clarks Exotica

Ambrosia is the main restaurant at the premise. It serves every type of cuisine. We enjoyed a couple of things but most dishes were a hit or miss. This is the same restaurant that serves the free breakfast buffet. The spread was really good with lots of options and some great dishes. It consisted of South Indian, North Indian, bakery & continental items along with a live counter for eggs and dosa.

Illusion Bar is your typical bar setup with finger food options. We were given complimentary bowl of chips and peanuts. The ambience of this bar is okayish. Not a big fan of the color combination that makes your head spin. But otherwise, the music was on point.

Buvette Coffee Shop is the cafe near the pool. Whelp, we didn’t get to savor any item from here as the cafe seemed deserted. Despite waiting for a barista, one showed up only to tell that major coffee options were unavailable. So, I’m not sure if this was a one-time thing because we showed up on a Saturday at 4-5pm. Which, technically, should be prime time for coffee lovers.

The spa prices are on the higher end but the service makes it worth every penny. The staff is amicable and take special requests on hair massage, etc. The spa itself has a very peaceful feel with mellow music and fragrant scents. As the spa is away from the reception and the rooms, we found it quiet and calm.

Overall the property is perfect for a weekend getaway. With a pool, kids play area and indoor & outdoor games, you can refresh your energy at this place.
